James has been behind a drum kit since he was 9. He has achieved and surpassed grade 8 for drum kit (both Guildhall and Rock School boards) and tuned percussion (Associated Board). He is currently enrolled on Bath University's Commercial Music degree programme.
He has performed at venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall and Millennium Centre (Cardiff) as well as touring France, Holland, Belgium and Ireland. James has performance credits on recordings by Windfall, Liz Fyfe, Rob Owen and the Pembrokeshire Jazz Band.
